Teen Skill Development Weeks: Ages 14-17

Activity Details

Join us for a summer filled with outdoor adventure!

Weekly programs will run from 9 am- 4 pm Monday to Friday.

The teens should be prepared to spend the day learning outdoors. Pack a healthy lunch, snacks, water, sunscreen, hat, swimsuit, towel, and some spare clothes (all packed in a backpack).

 

Weekly Schedule:

 

July 10-14

Canoe expedition with 3 overnights (1 prep day followed by 4 days on the water).

 

July 17 – 21 

Outdoor Art and Adventure with 1 overnight.

 

August 28 – Sept 1 

Rock climbing & Bouldering  with 1 overnight.

 

 

Details Skill Development Weeks:

Canoe expedition:

Learn all the basics of how to run a successful overnight canoe expedition! We will teach you all the little tips and tricks when it comes to everything from what to pack, how to plan & navigate, paddling techniques, how to find & rig the perfect campsite, how to make a fire & how cook delicious meals over it, how to stay safe on the water & around wildlife, how to leave no trace, and how to truly enjoy being off the grid immersed in nature!

Outdoor Art & Adventure Week: 

Immerse yourself in art inspired by the beautiful nature surrounding us, and find inspiration on adventures hiking, canoeing, SUPing++

Rock Climbing & Bouldering Week:

Either you are learning how to rock climb & boulder, or you’re interested in reaching new heights, this program is for you! Our ACMG certified top rope instructors will facilitate a safe and supportive learning environment exploring a variety of crags around Revelstoke. All of the climbing gear needed will be provided, however, we encourage you to bring your own climbing shoes as our selection is limited.

24-hours notice minimum needed to guarantee availability but last minute requests may be accommodated.

Our Team

Our outdoor educators are certified wilderness first aiders, qualified in providing educational, fun experiences in all seasons around this area. 

They have vulnerable persons criminal record checks, positive experiences with a variety of ages of children with various abilities, skills and resources related to creating and delivering successful programs. 

Most of our outdoor facilitators are professional educators, assistants and guides to complement their outdoor facilitation of the programs. We even have some parents among our program staff and that adds a wealth of knowledge to the game!
